We are immersed in a holographic universe which dolphins and other sentient beings experience in communal consciousness. I’m going to talk about two states of consciousness as they relate to communal consciousness: the waking state and dream time.

What Triggers Communal Consciousness

Intuitive Feelings

We all experience intuitive feelings during in our waking state, but sometimes our thinking mind gets in the way of following those hunches unless there is a strong inner voice or a pressing need (Danheiser, 2013). Maria D’Andrea believes that our intuitiveness is triggered when an unusual feeling arises, the energy changes, or the situation calls for it.

Taegel (2012) wrote about just such a situation when he hosted a vision quest event on his Texas land. Lisa, a member of the collective, selected a pilgrimage site that was a bit remote. When it came time for her quest to begin, the geo area was in a state of severe drought. While in the remote location, she witnessed a fire break out and sprinted the distance back to the group in time to warn them. A firefighting team launched immediately, and with added prayers to the Wind God, they were able to avert a catastrophic fire and save the land.

Based on just this one example of Lisa’s intuition heightening prior to the situation and how she made herself available to be in the right place at the right time, we could say that there is truth in Maria’s idea. Is it a “field” that Lisa attuned to?

Writing from the Right

Would we call the flow of words we hear while writing from the right side of our brains an intuitive process? Is it a “field” that we attune to during the writing process? When the ideas flow, this is a determined result of our action to tune in with our inner writer. This is not a situation outside us that requires our attention. So, we have two distinct avenues for attuning to a “field” or divine energy. This is a big idea we’ll explore it more.

The Concept of Fields

A group of dolphins who exhibit communal consciousness are immersed in the ocean which surrounds them completely. Creatures and inanimate objects above ground are also surrounded, immersed in a similar substance of air or ether. It is just as natural to land or air beings to experience the communal consciousness as dolphins or whales experience in their waking state. Practice makes a difference in how easily or frequently we drop into this state.

Messages from the Dream State

We receive messages from the dream state, but would they be considered intuitive communications? Are we tapping into intuition when a dream elicits motivation for action in the waking state?

Sometimes dreams point to deeper truths. After the Gulf Oil Spill in 2010, I received a series of three dreams that you can find on this site in the Book of Dreams area. These dreams pointed to a variety of truths about the Spill as a manifestation of how polluted our five senses had become. The oil residue indicated that our finances, politics and personal attitudes had also become polluted (Mark, 2010).

The first dream was a notification on healing that pointed to achieving a new paradigm of flexible thoughts, feelings and actions. The second dream was a metaphor on the dispersants dumped into the Gulf. They were constricting the breath of the ocean sea life, and the ocean itself represented divinity.

The last dream in the sequence gave hope that there are healthy oceans, but sometimes the glasses we wear color the world and how we perceive it. Once the residue is cleansed, we purify our five senses, and this pure world is our birthright.

Communal Consciousness Field

By watching, recording and writing night dreams, some messages emerge for personal clarification while others are to be broadcast. This is what led me to write the Book of Dreams where you’ll find about 80 published dreams. These lessons provide clarity for all. Where do they originate? Why do these messages pour forth from our subconsciousness as metaphors? They seem to enter our waking state on issues of magnitude or on unresolved personal problems. But, if this field is available during sleep, it is also available during the waking state. It is a matter of attuning our frequencies, our being, to this layer. This is the communal consciousness field.

Practicing remembering your night dreams is an excellent way to attune yourself. Although you can catch a thread of your night dream by lying still upon awakening, at other times of the day if you are still. Or, if you are concentrating, a thread from your night dream might pop into your mind. It might be a recent dream, or it might be a dream from some time ago.

Role of Memory

There is a correlation between memory and the communal conscious field. You may consciously place a request to yourself to remember something, or a memory may drop in based on a trigger. Just the same as in writing from the right side of your brain, there are two methods to remembering something: by a predetermined request or triggered by a situation. This is also a big idea to be explored more.

Summary

Since the state of communal consciousness, or being in field awareness, may be determined by request, this is probably why the Masters suggested that their disciples practice spiritual discipline, or sadhana to reach enlightenment. For being immersed in communal consciousness to some degree is being in enlightenment.
